IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON MICROWAVE THEORY AND TECHNIQUES
Special Issue on 2003 Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits
Symposium
Dear Author,
Congratulations on having your paper accepted for presentation
at 2003 Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits Symposium, to
be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
At this time, you are encouraged to submit a longer version
of your paper with significantly expanded content
for consideration as a contribution to the Special Symposium
Issue of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques,
scheduled for publication in November 2003.This invitation
provides a rapid dissemination of your work to a broader technical
community. IMS
publishes a separate special issue. Please directly
contact the IMS guest editor, Afshin
Daryoush , for any questions in regards to this
special issue.
Please note that your submission
will be subject to the same rigorous review criteria and other
IEEE-MTT publication policies (including page charges**) as other standard submissions to the Transactions. These
policies can be found among the last pages of most transactions
issues. Please also note that submission of your paper to
the Digest and CD-ROM is a prerequisite for this transaction
submission.
Since your Digest paper is an archival
publication, your submitted paper must therefore be significantly
expanded in substantive content compared to the Digest
version. The addition of explanatory details or simple extensions
of parameter values and/or figures are not considered substantive.
Particularly, IEEE publication guidelines imply that only
up to 1/3 of any published paper (i.e., digest) could be used
for any other paper publication (i.e., your Special Issue
paper). A good figure of merit is to repeat only the equivalent
of one page out of four pages of text, figures, and data from
your Digest paper in your expanded paper.
The total number of scheduled papers
for publication in the November Issue is set to be 7; this
limited number mandates that a smaller fraction of the accepted
papers can be published by November of 2003.
THE
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF YOUR PAPER IS 17 APRIL 2003.
For the submission of your manuscript,
an electronic process is used, similar to that used in submitting
your paper to the Symposium Digest.
Detailed instructions for the preparation of your submission
are given in the author's guide.
** PAGE CHARGES:
Papers will be reviewed for their
technical merit, and decisions to publish will be made independent
of an author's ability to pay page charges.
Page charges of $110 (U.S.) per printed page will be
assessed on papers of five printed pages or less.
Over length page charges of $200 per page are mandatory
for each page in excess of five pages. If the author's
organization agrees to honor the total page charge, which
includes the page charges on the first five pages plus the
mandatory over length charge, the author will receive 100
reprints. If the supporting organization honors only
the mandatory charge, no free reprints will be sent.
A page
Charge Form must be mailed or faxed to LRW Associates.
